What is "homebrew" programs
"Homebrew" is in its simplicity, homemade programs.
Throughout history there made a great many homebrew programs to a PSP. It's everything from small game, Browsers
Network programs and anything else exciting.

If I have to highlight a few programs I use myself, it must be Pimpstreamer a program to install on your computer and your PSP, then you can stream movies / audio and pictures from your computer to your PSP so you do not have to put everything down on one's memory.
Another program may be IR Shell which is a different interface than the original.
I've had linux on my PSP and I've tried all sorts of programs on my PSP which has been pretty fun instead of just using it to play.
I have updated the "Links" which will hopefully be some pages with a lot of homebrew you can get down.
You can not use these homebrew programs until you have a "custom firmware" This I will tell you about one of these days.
Looks good am looking forward to seeing more and get a better understanding of what my PSP.

I'll start with the last of your questions. I have one of the old PSPs old thick a PSP hold as it is called.
The mucus can largely pull away, but it is much homebrew as developers with an hold, and therefore it is not certain it seems to Slim. There is also another factor with the custom firmware is out with that you can not install a patch so you can spend 1.50 on a mucus which also makes something simple homebrew download is not written to Slim.
